my great great grandfather was david yarborough of 13thvol csa(23rd pee dee guards) ruben his son is my great grandfather his son p.h. yarborough my grandfather. david father was james madison yarbrough born abt 1798 his father was richard married to frances procter. my mother was thelma mae yarbrough married to rufus o. slaughter sr. i am rufus jr. of roxboro n.c.

You stated a need for documentation on Jeptha’s sons.
1. Jeptha’s death and his wife’s are recorded in son Franklin’s bible.
2. Jeptha paid poll tax for Reuben, who lived next door to his brother Franklin Y. in 1850 (Reuben, Franklin, Jeptha Jr. and William were brothers, according to family letters).

HA! James Albert yarbrough is my great grandfather too! How cool is that! He married Essie Coggin, born 09-06-1885, died 01-1975 and is buried in South Bend Indiana where i live. Her fatger was Josephus Coggin and mother was Rebecca Jackson. Josephus father was Silas coggin married to fannie Harris and his dad was John Silas Coggin, born 1878. Sorry, I got off the Yarbrough track. So happy to trace it back to England. Thank you!

I have 2 cemetery books of graves that are listed with monuments thru 1997.
In the Burgess Cemetery Golden, MS- Tishomingo, Co., MS it list Billy (William Wiley) Shook born 05/26/1857–died 11/22/1913..Wife, Mary Hodge Yarber born 06/20/1857–
died 01/27/1941.
Go to the above cemetery and there is a lot posted there. I did some, but not the Yarbers. I do not know the person that did..Also check Belmont City cemetery Tishomingo Co., MS and most of his family are buried there. I only live about 2 miles from the cemetery, even tho I never have looked it over.
In Joel cemetery Tishomingo, Co., MS thaere are some Shooks that are connected to the Yarbers

I am looking for information on William Willey Yarborough born about 1856. Married Mary Saliny Hodge. in the 1900 census they lived in itawamba county Ms and in 1910 they lived in Tishomingo county MS. son James Lafayette Yarber born sept 7 1880 died Aug 2 1959. I can’t find any information on W.W. or his wife I know that in the 1900 census the spelling was yarber. Can you help?
