As time passes so does the our great nations need to neuter it’s people more and more. With the already 23,000 pages of federal law and on average the 2 million laws each state has we know can up the total number to 40k more. I think this puts the total amount of US laws around 5 bizilion gazilion in the US well actually around 20 million laws. How much money goes into keeping track of these and deciding what stays and comes, well that’s millions more.

It’s not until we can simplify what is right and wrong that people will actually start taking our judicial system seriously.

I propose we keep 100 laws on file and in force these with stricter force. I will have to do another post to actually try and compile such a list. I know it’s not simple, I just know too many laws mean too many mistakes and too much money to try and keep track of.

The constitution is a great example of this.

New laws going into effect Sunday cover some of the nation’s most contentious issues, from immigration to abortion, while others deal with tanning beds, tuition and where you can sell a pet.

In all, nearly 40,000 laws were enacted in 2011, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Some take effect New Year’s Day.

Among them is a controversial California provision requiring that schools add “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans” to the list of those whose contributions “to the development of California and the United States” must be taught in schools.

Another California law adds “gender identity and gender expression” to the list of characteristics that require equal rights.

New laws in Delaware and Hawaii make same-sex couples eligible for civil unions and grant them the same rights and benefits as married couples under the law, the legislature group said.

NCSL: New state laws for the new year

In New Hampshire, starting January 1, minors will have to inform a parent before getting an abortion or seek a court order to avoid parental notification.

Gov. John Lynch had vetoed the bill, saying there must be an exception for rape, incest and abuse. The legislature overrode his veto.

New laws in Louisiana, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia require businesses to enroll in the federal E-Verify program to ensure that employees are eligible to work in the United States, the National Conference of State Legislatures says.

California, meanwhile, is prohibiting any state or local government office from requiring that employers use E-Verify, unless it is required by federal law as a condition of receiving federal funds.

E-Verify is a controversial program designed to check a prospective employee’s citizenship or immigration status. Supporters say it helps businesses avoid unintentionally hiring illegal immigrants. Critics complain that it is expensive to operate, pushes undocumented workers further underground, and is not always accurate.

Some laws ahead for the new year focus on health issues.

One in California prohibits the production or sale of beer to which caffeine has been added. Another in the state would prohibit the sale of dextromethorphan, or DXM, to minors without a prescription. DXM is in many over-the-counter cough suppressants, but it has been used as a recreational drug, the National Conference of State Legislatures says.

California also will ban stores from selling expired infant food and formula.

Another law in California focuses on school athletes suspected of having a concussion or head injury. A school must remove the athlete from that activity and not allow him or her to resume until clearance is given by a health care provider.

Many of the new laws cited by the legislature group are in California, including one prohibiting the use of ultraviolet tanning devices by minors and another making it a crime to sell “a live animal on any street, highway, public right-of-way, parking lot, carnival, or boardwalk.”

Both Oregon and California will prohibit the sale of shark fins in the new year.

Oregon is requiring state colleges and universities to waive tuition and fees for foster children under age 25.

Some new state laws amend crime provisions. Kentucky will require that certain inmates convicted of drug crimes serve the final six months of their sentences in the community, under supervision.

Oregon will require ignition interlock devices — computerized breath analyzers — for people convicted of driving under the influence and people who are under intoxicant diversion agreements, which allow prosecution on a DUI charge to be delayed.

And more states are joining a nationwide movement for tougher laws against distracted driving. Nevada will prohibit all drivers from texting and using handheld devices, the National Conference of State Legislatures says. North Dakota is banning drivers under age 18 from using cell phones in their cars and barring all drivers from texting.

I see it so often every year people do over the top New Year’s Resolutions and of course within a month they are back to normal. I love the idea and I am sure there is people that can make a major change from their New Year’s Resolutions but the truth is most won’t and these people are wasting a once in a year motivator to better them selves and setting themselves up for failure.

I suggest keeping your New Year’s Resolutions simple this year, rather than trying to quit smoking or losing 40 pounds try to keep your closet organized or start a new hobby or class.

By doing a resolution that is not too hard you are more likely to stick to it “obviously” but also by accomplishing this more obtainable goal now you are bettering yourself, building more strength, and finding the winning side of you so later you can fight the big things down the road.

I can assure you quieting smoking or drinking or gambling, or trying to lose weight needs more then the New Year, it needs strength, confidence, a clear mind, and a smart path to completion. Just some food for thought lol.

Here are some easy fun New Year’s Resolutions that you can do without too much stress:

1. Start walking, I mean to the store for food to the diner to read the paper, to the park with your children or dog. I mean a set system that you follow every week. Like once a week you will walk for at least 30 minutes.

2. Learn an instrument, but not guitar or something hard. Get a recorder or a bongo drum or something you can learn easily and have fun with. Then later you can work into harder instruments.

3. Eat a better breakfast, rather say I’m going to lose weight or get fit start with one meal and better it each day. Oatmeal for breakfast is the single best thing you can do for your long term health.

4. Start writing a story or fliming, we all have a imagination that wants to get out.

5. Stretch or Yoga, this is so important for more energy, better blood flow, and just better movement.

Let’s try to remember the holidays are about family, friends, giving, food, and making kids smile.

If we can stay focused on that, we should be busy enough to not have to worry about anything else.

We all know the economy is injured thanks to crooked banks and politicians. I couldn’t be happier seeing people leaving their corporate banks and finding local or at least smaller ones. BofA has miles of real reports of them simply stealing, lying, and hiding fees that will get you every time. Actually huge banks make more money off penalty fees then the accounts themselves. Wells Fargo added more fees then people should of got on mortgages. The list goes on but that is neither here or there.

The banks faults are not the point of this post, this is more about how to fix the damaged economy these banks too for granted and selfishly tanked.

All numbers are estimated based on 5 years and are based on wika data.

1. Lighten all law enforcement. Simply put we have way too many police and highway patrol. The reason is because it’s a business writing tickets and arresting people. But now more then ever the government needs to quit stealing from it’s people. Driving 55 does not save lives, it’s just gives cops a reason to ticket people driving a realistic highway speed.

Amount put back into peoples pockets: $56 billion

2. Shutdown NASA. I think putting our starship dreams on hold is not going to end our dreams as a country. Privatize space travel with subsidiaries and focus on telescopes and scientific computations. NASA is by far the least sacrifice for saving billions of dollars as a country.

Amount put back into the government and new business: $260 billion

3. Tax the richest 1%. Needless to say the rich would not be there without us. This is a luxury that needs to be compensated at least on a 5-10% scale beyond taxes (that they hardly pay).  It should be a special tax that goes completely into a fund for starting and growing new small businesses. Free commercials for each business would be a great idea to help small businesses.

Amount out back into new business: $230 billion

4. Stop the war.

Need I say more? We need to focus on defense as a nation. All able men should get basic training in case of a major war.

Amount put back into the economy: $520 billion

5. Pull out of foreign relations and limit importing.

What bothers me is everything is trying to come up with a  permanent solution when really we need to work on repairing the economy for now and once it’s back to normal we can be more flexible. Lock down imports with strict regulations and subsidize local business. We export almost nothing yet 80% of our economy is bases from other countries products. We will lose nothing and gain billions by supporting local business.

Amount put back into the economy: $600 billion

If we can make the bold moves needed in less then 5 years we will be stronger and smarter then ever as a nation.

I truly love this saying, it reminds me of the simple genius you can find when getting past your ego. I think we have fallen away from where we where as a culture when Einstein was alive. Now people care too much for their own greed and power. We can only hope another person with such influence will help get us back on track for what’s better for the world not just a single person.

1. People like people that are complimentary (but not too complimentary) over people that find flaws.

2. Matching gestures will help people feel comfortable with you.

3. Speaking the same speed will help people feel like they know you better.

4. Let someone do a favor for you. Doing favors to others will not have them like you more. They need to do favors for you to feel invested and connected.

5. Do something embarrassing or human. People will not like you better if you are too serious, act self consumed, or can’t laugh at yourself.

6. Being positive will get people to attract to you like a magnet. Miserable people do like other miserable people but as soon as the person feels better they will leave someone that is miserable. miserable people only like other miserable attitudes because they both share the misery.

You might be asking yourself, what is this 1% hype all about lately? It spawned the protests/riots in Wall Street and many other cities around the US in the last couple weeks and it has economists and pseudo geniuses like myself seriously worried about the future of our society.

I am sure you are well aware of communism and the slippery slope it can be for societies. I fear from the lack of proper regulation and action our capitalist system will soon have the same stigma or worse. The main reasons that communism is bad is that it overlooks the human nature of greed and chain of command which in turn inevitably causes chaos. Meaning at some point someone or one’s is going to want more and if they cannot earn it they will find other ways to get it, like violence and thievery.

On the other hand, allowing people to take as much as they want in a purely capitalist society has even more detrimental effects in the long run as we are seeing now. There is a huge myth that banks ruined our economy by bad lending, this is not true. The money is still here in fact there is a lot more now. What really happened is the ultra rich found a way to get almost all the money and will not spend it. This was allowed because the people that make the rules for our society are getting paid by the ultra rich. These people are the ones that really run the country and ultimately sway policy with lobbyist, bribes, and special interest groups.

These “ultra rich” people are the 1%. This small percentage of the US that has and makes more money then the other 99% combined.

Why is crime on the rise and morals lowering? The answer is simple, lack of opportunity. These ultra rich people that make over 2.2 million a year can easily make a business better then a struggling entrepreneur and these 1% can easily influence the market in their favor through stocks and investments. The old saying you have to have money to make money is becoming more true.

The only hope for low capital starting entrepreneurs is the internet, this tool helps level the playing the field and helps market a business for free with the right knowledge and hard work. We need to fight for the security of a free market on the internet, it is our last hope.

Even with the internet, business is in a huge wreck.  Our capitally ideas are now becoming worse then a communist country, the US is heading for havoc and violence at our current course. If you could not feed your children then a less ethical more potentially violent person will arise to do what is needed to survive. This is nature, not a moral encompass. We have a 9.1% unemployment rate right now, that is almost 10% of our country that cannot find work and most likely will not survive off of what the government gives them much longer. People making 80k a year will now have to live off of 40k this progression is growing as the 1% rich get richer and the middle class gets lower.

Ultimately our society is heading to a 1/99 split with an ultra rich class and a huge struggling massive majority with fleeting family values.

Do you think 300 million people are going to just let 7 million live off of their work and tears? I think it safe to say at any point the system will fail miserably and violence will follow shortly after.

So what is the solution? Simple Communism and Simple Capitalism does not work, so what can we do to have a civilized safe society and stay proactive? The answers are easy, it’s applying them that is hard.

1. Tax the rich (the around 2 mill a year or more class) enough to offset the class spread and bring it back closer together. Then use that money to help small businesses and industry that is ran and made here in America.

2. Regulate the fed and banks, letting them run free to steal billions a year from the people is ridiculous and is decremental to our economy. We need slowly work our way back tot he gold standard.

3. STOP importing everything we buy in the US! Remember when buying American meant something, well people are making less money so now they have to buy cheap foreign stuff. We have been forced to buy foreign products as a result of our disintegrating economy ultimately lowering our moral structure as a society.

4. Provide ultra cheap housing and food for people struggling to even survive. This will help keep crime down and as a society the moral code growing. Keep in mind this would cost less then 10% of Wall Marts profits to do for the entire country.

Ultimately this is a  hybrid of Capitalism with some communist tweaks and it happens to be the only way we will ever get our dream of US opportunity back to where it was when we set the pace for the world as a respected culture and nation.
